Help Kids Sleep, Breath, and Thrive

It is our absolute passion to help kids sleep, breath, and thrive.  We believe in early intervention and has followed the latest research when it comes to helping the craniofacial development in kids.  Because we’ve been treating adults for generations and see the negative impact of underdevelopment on teeth and overall health, it has become our mission to help the younger generation prevent future problems.  The doctors are so passionate about this subject matter because we have kids too.

Dental Crowding Is a Sign of Underdevelopment

Dental crowding, two rows of teeth, or some parents call it “shark teeth” are just an indication the jaw structure is too small.  It is NOT because there are too many teeth or the teeth are too big.

Why Waiting Is Not Better

Dysfunction when not corrected, often led to worsening symptoms.  Patient below did not seek treatment for 4 years.  Crowding and arch development was worse.

Below: 2023, 6 months post expansion.  There are actually room for adult teeth.  Bite is still deep but showing signs of improvement.

Prior to expansion

If your child has signs of snoring, bed-wetting, night-terror, disturbed sleep, grinding or attention issues, those could be signs of sleep disturbances related to under-development.  Developing foundation by giving teeth more room, many of the signs will correct itself.

Healthy and beautiful smile, post expansion, CO2 lingual frenectomy, orthodontics.

Tools we can deploy to help kids are:  CO2 laser to release tongue ties and buccal ties;  functional or fixed appliance for both upper and lower expansion; MARPE (mini-implant assisted rapid palatal expander); Clear aligners; self-ligating brackets for orthodontics

We also work with orthodontists, oral myofunctional therapist, physical therapist, and ENT to help correct other issues.  If you have any questions regarding any symptoms or possible treatment, please call our office at 508-478-3800 to schedule your consultation appointment.
